Segmented a flat factory network that mixed office IT and production OT systems on the same switch, closing a critical ransomware exposure.

The Challenge

A single flat network meant a phishing click in accounting could reach production line controllers directly, a ransomware nightmare waiting to happen.

Our Approach

• Designed VLAN segmentation between IT and OT networks
• Deployed firewalled zones around production controllers
• Set up monitoring for cross-zone network traffic
• Documented an incident response plan specific to OT systems

The Result

The plant eliminated direct IT-to-OT exposure and detected and blocked two intrusion attempts within the first quarter after go-live.
